Community of practice

A Community of Practice on end of life care for people with problematic substance use was set up in July 2018 at the request of social and health care professionals attending a seminar on our research project’s findings.

What our research and our discussion in the seminar found was that there were pockets of good practice and innovative individuals working in this area. People wanted to hear about each other’s work and ideas and develop their own thinking and practice.

We have, therefore, established a forum for people to join to do just that. Membership is free and the site is used to share good practice with each other, seek help and advice from fellow specialists in either substance use and/or end of life/palliative care, and to spread news and ideas. You can upload material on this topic and download documents others have posted. It is yours to use as little or as often as you wish.

If you would like to join, please contact Dr Sam Wright (sam.wright@mmu.ac.uk) or Prof Sarah Galvani (s.galvani@mmu.ac.uk).
